Dante update and Random Bits and Bobs.

Hello everyone!
We hope you all had a great weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead.

First off a big slobbery thanks to everyone who wished Dante well, he is on anti inflammatory tablets and pain killers and is getting a small walk each day now. Unfortunately his X-Rays were rescheduled for the end of the week, so we have to wait to find out what the route of his pain is! Poor lad. He seems very happy though, probably because of all the attention is getting, maybe he is putting it on, BOL!  We will keep everyone updated.

Now a very belated thank you to Basset Momma for giving us an award, go visit her blog it always makes us laugh!

Liebster means dearest in German and the award is intended to help up and coming blogs get the attention they deserve.  As with any award there is a bit of ceremony involved.  In order to accept the award we must do the following:
1. Copy and paste the award on our blog.
2.Link back to the blogger who gave us the award.
3.Pick our five favorite blogs with less than 200 followers and leave a comment on there blog to let them know they have received the award.
4.Hope that the five blogs chosen will keep spreading the love and pass it on to five more blogs.

Hmm this was a tough one, but we give it to:
1. The Thuglets
2. Stewey
3. Declan
4. Magic
5. Haopee

Thanks again Basset Momma!

Now as some of you may know we are all on the BARF diet, what does everyone else eat? Mum put us on the diet when it was just Dante and Daisy-Boo because we became really picky with our dried food. Here is an example of one of our meals:
This time Mum started with some sweet potatoes, some left over raw pork chops and veggies, a big pack of beef mince and some pig skin. Yum, yum!
It's Sampson's job to be quality control for this whole procedure,  'Yup, it smells good to go Mum'.

Then we blend the potatoes...
 Then blend the veggies...

Then add the meat (the part Mum hates!) Again with Sampson as quality control!
Bon appetit! Can you guess whose bowl is whose?! ( The one on the right is tomorrows dinner :) )
YUM!

Lastly a few weeks ago Mum bought a snood for Sampson from crafting4greyhounds who hand knits them and give the proceeds to helping to greyhounds! I needed something to keep my ears warms because they are always always cold! The snood definitely does the trick, but Dante and Daisy-Boo just laugh at me..maybe they are jealous! I can wear it ears in...
Or out! It matches with my jacket perfectly...no?
I'm no fashion expert but I think I can definitely woo some ladies in this get up! BOL!

We hope everyone has a fantastic week,

Slobbers

  3. Hope he's okay! Sampson's jacket/snood is great! Mom feeds me homemade food, which usually consists of: meat, oats, carrots, celery, green pepper, some times broccoli or cauliflower, brewers yeast, flaxseed and ground eggshells (for calcium). Maybe once a week I get a raw egg from out chickens

  4. I would be so BARFing ofur those veggietabulls (BLECH!) and mom would be so BARFing ofur the meats. I know, that is totally SILLY but she be a veggietabullatarian. How did I get hooked up with her? I gess we is lucky we get meats in our kibble and we get the 75% meats kind of kibble with no grains in it. Hey you don't think that udder 25% be veggietabulls, do you? Nah, impawssibull. I would know.

  6. Fistly..we hope Dante is feeling better and our paws are crossed for his xray results to be good.
Thank you so much for our award!
We eat raw food as well. She changed us to raw because Holly had an awful skin problem and was very uncomfortable with herself. We have found that she can not tolerate pork. We love all our meat, fish (raw salmon heads) fresh veggies and loads of fruit yogurt! Yummers
    Reminds us time for breakie!!

  8. Thank you for the award! We do hope Dante is better very soon. We are on BARF too but our Mum (being vegetarian) prefers to get ours ready made! We get Natural Instinct which is raw meat and bones ready mixed with fruit and vegetables and salmon oil and things - it is yummy too. Great snood Sampson - you should certainly wow the ladies with that - woofs and licks from Magic xx

  10. Oh Dante, I am still very worried about you. I hate to see you in pain. But you look really good in your pictures. My Vickie thinks you are the most handsome dog ever.

I think your food looks very tasty. I wish my Vickie could touch raw meat. Then maybe I could get some of that. She is pretty funny around raw stuff. She gets all barfy and gaggy.

Oh well, I'll just look at pictures of yours.

  15. Hi Everybuddy, we're glad Dante is feeling a little better. Good luck with the X Rays. We eat mostly dry food with leftovers thrown in. We aren't too fussy at all. We've never seen a snood before but it looks so warm. We may have to try one when winter comes our way. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory P.S. For some reason your posts aren't coming up on our blog ggrrrr.
