Hello everyone!
Dante here- Mum says that swimming is a great form of exercise for us doggies (if we like the water that is!) especially doggies like me who have a lot of arthritic issues as it takes stress and pressure off our legs & joints. I like to think of it as free natural hydrotherapy-hehe. Luckily enough we live on a peninsular with countless beaches and we live seconds from the Lake District, which kinda explains that abundance of water in the name-so there is no excuse for us not to be swimming, now that the weather is getting warmer that is. Now me and Daisy Boo being crosses of two serious water dogs swimming comes naturally to us.
So, BRING IT ON. We always make sure Mum has a ball for us to chase and by chase I mean throw-go-fetch-bring half way back-make Daisy Boo bring it back the rest of the way.
When swimming in the sea the idea is to show no fear. The waves will sense this and try and soak you.
Can you even see us two in there? Mum said the waves were getting a bit too rough and called us back for 'our own saftey' pah!
Okay, okay it was getting a bit rough, maybe Mum was right, bol! and whatever you do when you go swimming, is to pull faces like these two goons.
I know what you are all thinking right, two whole blog posts in the space of a week?, maybe we are on a roll!
Our buddy Max sent us some amazing goodies a few weeks back and we haven't had chance to blog about it yet, but Sampson refuses to give up 'his' kong, and as it current stands the Kong Wubba is the longest living toy in our houses history.
PLEASE go visit our bunny friend Speedy over here, who has given us some wonderful Blog awards. :)

ReplyDeletethe brown dawgs
Those are some rough waves! Wow!
ReplyDeleteMy guys love to swim as well, but being stubby-legged corgis, it doesn't take much for them to be bowled over in the ocean. Lake swimming is much more to their liking!
Wow, you are awfully brave - we darent even dip our toes in the sea!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures, they really capture the dog's exuberence.

Great pictures! We have tried to interest the collies in swimming, with little success. Maybe we should show them your pictures!
ReplyDeleteI've only gone "swimming" in those kiddy pools (I have really short legs!) but I can't say I enjoyed it very much. Those waves look like they'll swallow me in an instant!
ReplyDeleteYou guys did have loads of fun!
...Whisky
Holy Cow!! Those waves were bigger than Dante!!! BOL
ReplyDeleteI sure am glads you two have swimmin' genes, you do look like professionals hehehe
Butts Dante and Baird sure look like they were havin' a blast runnin' on the shore...that would be my kind of thing.
FABulous day altogether guys!!
Kisses,
Ruby
Wow those are big waves. My dad takes me swimming weekly to an indoor pool. The water is pretty warm, about 92 degrees and yes, your mom's right. Swimming takes the weight off my front end and relieves the bit of arthritis that I have too. I don't think that I could handle those waves though...
ReplyDeleteSeaside swimming and sunny blue skies finally - you guys must be in paradise xx
ReplyDeleteDante....
ReplyDeleteI'm back!! At last, I am finished working on Little Miss Secretive Writing Project!! It feels so very good to be back soaring through Blogville again!! ;)
My first girl, Shadow, was a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever cross. She would run halfway into a lake, then just stand there!! Silly girl!! My Dad jokingly said that only Shadow's bottom half was "water dog!!" Hee, hee, hee.... ;op
Love, Raelyn.... Plus Rose, my BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE "Mystery Dog"!!
