Photo of the day. Summer

Thanks to everyone who wished Baird a very happy first Birth-dane. He was very spoiled on the day (and pretty much everyday actually).
Now did you know Mum takes over 3000 photos a month of us? A bit over the top and most of them just sit on her computer, but not this week! Mum has been challenge to upload a photo a day, which is a challenge for her, hehe.
Hope you are all looking forward to Christmas and what Santa paws is going to bring you. You better all have been NICE doggies. Please also take a moment to think of doggies less fortunate than ourselves here.

Happy Birthday Baird

Well, more of a belated birthday, it was on the 15th, Mum was a wee bit late posting this!

A word from Mum:

To my Baird, my boy, my son, my protector.
What a year we have had together, you have caused me laughter, tears and everything in-between. You are a colossal pain in the butt at times, but you are MY pain in the butt and I wouldn't swap you for anything in the world.
You bring so much joy in my life and I hope you are as happy as you make me.
I love you so very much Baird-y Hickles <3

Long time no Bark!

Hello Everyone! First things first, HUGE apologies...we know that we have been away for a few months, we could make excuses but life has been keeping Mum really busy. Hope all our blogging friends are well- Mum was wondering if Google reader is still working, she can't seem to find anyone's posts? She will get round everyone eventually. :)
Not much has changed here, well not much apart from Baird has gotten rather big. In fact he is Sana sized now, although he doesn't seem to notice much. But don't worry Daisy Boo is still the boss around here!
Summer has gone from our part of the world now, but Autumn is such a wonderful time of the year, it's actually going to be Baird's very first Autumn! So you can all expect a lot of pictures to come.

Here comes the sun...

Well it's official, its now Summer! Hooray!
We know we are rather, okay very  intermittent with our blogging, but life sure does keep us busy. The weather is heating up, well as hot as it gets for England, but it has been hot enough for Mum to invest in a paddling pool for us-it's erm a bit on the small side but it does the job!

Mum drops things in the bottom to see if we can pick them up, its like bobbing for apples, but eggs instead!

At least it keeps us cool on the hot days. Baird is sure getting big now, he is nearly 8 months old 50.6kg and nearly as big as Sampson, he is still a big clumsy puppy and is getting into all sorts of trouble!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend and it is nice and sunny where you are!

Baird is now 6 months old and still growing like a weed. He still very much acts like the puppy he is. Always getting into mischief and by always we mean constantly, all of the time. Heheh, he is driving Mum mad.
We want to send all our furends a big slobbery bark! And hope you had a great bank holiday or Memorial weekend.

Swimming Lessons

Hello everyone!
Dante here- Mum says that swimming is a great form of exercise for us doggies (if we like the water that is!) especially doggies like me who have a lot of arthritic issues as it takes stress and pressure off our legs & joints. I like to think of it as free natural hydrotherapy-hehe. Luckily enough we live on a peninsular with countless beaches and we live seconds from the Lake District, which kinda explains that abundance of water in the name-so there is no excuse for us not to be swimming, now that the weather is getting warmer that is. Now me and Daisy Boo being crosses of two serious water dogs swimming comes naturally to us.
So, BRING IT ON. We always make sure Mum has a ball for us to chase and by chase I mean throw-go-fetch-bring half way back-make Daisy Boo bring it back the rest of the way.
When swimming in the sea the idea is to show no fear. The waves will sense this and try and soak you.

Can you even see us two in there? Mum said the waves were getting a bit too rough and called us back for 'our own saftey' pah!

Okay, okay it was getting a bit rough, maybe Mum was right, bol! and whatever you do when you go swimming, is to pull faces like these two goons.
I know what you are all thinking right, two whole blog posts in the space of a week?, maybe we are on a roll!

Our buddy Max sent us some amazing goodies a few weeks back and we haven't had chance to blog about it yet, but Sampson refuses to give up 'his' kong, and as it current stands the Kong Wubba is the longest living toy in our houses history.
PLEASE go visit our bunny friend Speedy over here, who has given us some wonderful Blog awards. :)

Sampson's Belated Birthday

Hello Everyone.
We must apologise for our impromptu blog break, and the fact we are so very far behind on reading everyone's posts, how very very rude of us. But life is keeping us busy little bees, well Mum for the most part. We have been suffering with a terrible chill in our house, the boiler machine which keeps us all toasty and warm and gives us warm water for the dreaded bath monster died on us a few months ago. Well a few weeks ago we finally got a new one..
Mum is clearly easily impressed.
Mum was ever so happy. It's a bit hot for us in the house now though, the heating is on all the time- I think we are melting! Time to shed our winter fur I think.
It was my birthday on the 25th, I turned 2 years old. I got special one on one walk with Mum, complete with stupid birthday attire. Yup, thats right that hat and badge where actually on me during our walk, made alot of people smile but I was ever so embarrassed. Cheers Mum!

I got to go on a play date with my lovely German Shepherd girlfriend Sapphire, we do love each other, heheh!
We have so much to update everyone on, including the ever growing Baird has his shenanigans, watch this space.

Bringing up Baird, 20 weeks later. Happy belated Birthday Boos!

Hello everyone!
Did you know that us Brits complain about the weather? and I mean complain all of the time. Mum says because its so varied, but I think that we just like complaining and are actually big grumpy guts. I mention this because if you can remember in our last post, it was snowing and it was so very cold! Now Spring weather has decided to show up and it is sort of warm, so Mum is complaining that is it warm now and poor Dante is struggling because Mum hasnt gotten round to shaving him yet. Okay, okay Mum doesn't want to trim his coat yet in case the cold snap comes back and he is freezing-bwhahah.
Baird is still growing like a weed- he is 20 weeks old now, boy
3 o boy does time fly! Mum says he will be as big as me soon, she is joking right? I'm a bit scaredy of dogs that are similar sized to me, but don't tell anyone, maybe when Baird is bigger it will make me brave with big doggies? Baird has been having some one-on-one training with Mum when she can, he is still working on his recall and other basic commands. Such as 'look' which is eye contact, very useful for taking pictures hehehe!

He only does it for hotdogs, certainly not for Mum- hot dogs, okay?! He is currently going through that butt-higher-than-front-legs phase that Dane pups have, its pretty funny if you ask me. I went through it apparently, but I don't ever recall it happening.
Daisy Boo celebrated her 3rd birthday on Thursday, she got lots and lots of kisses and cuddles and a special trip to the beach with just her and Mum. It was also Mums birthday on the Friday but we don't care about that- joking Mum!
